Homebrew: D'où vient le terme?
- L'origine du mot "homebrew", qui est particulièrement connu dans la scène du jeu, vient en fait d'une direction complètement différente.
- À proprement parler, c'est une traduction presque littérale de l'anglais. Là, le terme de bière auto-brassée est utilisé. Bien sûr, "homebrew" n'a rien à voir avec la bière dans le contexte du jeu. Mais avec des jeux auto-programmés, comme nous l'expliquons dans la section suivante.
Qu'est-ce que l'homebrew?
- Par programmes "homebrew", on entend des programmes qui ont été produits par des développeurs privés.
- Cependant, par défaut, sur la plupart des consoles de jeu et des ordinateurs de poche, vous ne pouvez pas exécuter les programmes que vous avez écrits vous-même.
- En effet, les fabricants d'appareils ont peur de vendre trop peu de leurs propres jeux alors qu'il y a des tonnes de titres gratuits disponibles.
- Bien sûr, certains moyens ont été trouvés pour contourner les mesures de sécurité et exécuter des jeux "homebrew". Par exemple, il est possible d'utiliser des programmes "homebrew" sur Playstation 3, Xbox 360 et de nombreux autres appareils.
