Par exemple, votre progéniture ne peut pas obstruer indéfiniment le disque dur avec d'énormes vidéos et films. Limiter la capacité de stockage du compte utilisateur
- Démarrez l'Explorateur Windows. Dans la zone de navigation de gauche sous "Ordinateur", cliquez avec le bouton droit sur l'icône du disque dur pour lequel vous souhaitez configurer des quotas de stockage.
- Sélectionnez ensuite la commande "Propriétés" dans le menu contextuel, activez l'onglet "Quota" dans la boîte de dialogue suivante et affichez "Afficher les paramètres de quota". Vous avez besoin des droits d'administrateur pour cela, de sorte que vous devrez peut-être autoriser l'instruction en sélectionnant un compte administrateur et en entrant le mot de passe correspondant.

Windows présente ensuite une liste de tous les comptes d'utilisateurs connus avec leurs paramètres pour le quota de stockage et l'espace de stockage actuellement utilisé. Il est affiché à la fois en valeur absolue et en pourcentage par rapport à l'espace de stockage limité.
- Si un compte manque dans la liste, créez-en une nouvelle avec "Quota"> "Nouvelle entrée de quota". Pour modifier, double-cliquez sur l'entrée de liste du compte d'utilisateur souhaité. Dans la boîte de dialogue suivante, vous déterminez l'espace de stockage maximal pour le compte et un niveau d'avertissement. Fermez les boîtes de dialogue avec "OK" ou en cliquant sur la croix rouge en haut à droite de la barre de titre.
- Remarque: Lorsque la quantité de données d'un utilisateur atteint le niveau d'avertissement ou la limite de quota de stockage, Windows affiche une notification sur le bureau.
