Sommet du G20 - que se passe-t-il réellement là-bas?
Le sommet du G20 aura lieu cette année les 7 et 8 juillet à Hambourg sur proposition du chancelier fédéral. Un pays différent accueille le sommet chaque année. La réunion a eu lieu en Chine l'année dernière, la dernière réunion en Allemagne a eu lieu en 2004 à Berlin.
- G20 signifie "Groupe de 20". Il s'agit d'une union des 19 plus grands pays industrialisés et émergents et de l'Union européenne.
- Les pays du G20 représentent près des deux tiers de la population mondiale et génèrent ensemble 85% du produit intérieur brut mondial.
- Les chefs d'État et de gouvernement ainsi que les ministres des finances et chefs de banque centrale des 19 États membres participent aux réunions annuelles. Pour l'UE, le président du Conseil européen et le président de la Banque centrale européenne participent. Le Directeur du Fonds monétaire international, le Président du Comité monétaire et financier international (CMFI), le Président de la Banque mondiale et le Président du Comité de développement de l'OCDE sont également présents.
- Les réunions devraient servir à discuter des problèmes d'importance internationale et à trouver des solutions. Les sujets incluent le changement climatique ou la crise des réfugiés.
Critique du sommet du G20 - qu'est-ce que les gens ont contre?
Il y a beaucoup de critiques à l'égard du groupe des 20 et du sommet du G20. À Hambourg, des gens de toute l'Europe protestent actuellement contre la réunion. Les critiques dans l'aperçu:
- Les participants: Des chefs d'État accusés de violation des droits de l'homme participent également au sommet. Par exemple Erdoğan pour la Turquie ou Poutine pour la Russie.
- Qui ne vient pas: Seuls 19 pays et l'UE participent au sommet du G20. Néanmoins, des sujets sont discutés et des décisions sont prises qui affectent tous les pays du monde. Par exemple, un seul pays d'Afrique y participe: l'Afrique du Sud. Néanmoins, les famines et les guerres en Afrique sont également en discussion.
- Non démocratique: Les 20 participants ne sont pas élus démocratiquement. Le G20 n'est pas une institution officielle, contrairement à l'ONU, dans laquelle tous les États sont représentés.
- Hypocrite: les critiques accusent les membres de combattre la guerre, la pauvreté ou le changement climatique comme une simple couverture pour le sommet du G20. Au lieu d'éliminer les problèmes, les États utiliseraient le sommet pour négocier après l'ONU. Cela exacerberait les inégalités mondiales par la privatisation, la déréglementation et la collusion financière.
